The adhesive on the back of the insul hangers was not tacky enough to stay stuck to the garage door. My application was attaching fiberglass insulation blankets to my garage door. Sharpness is not really needed to put the tab on top Suggest using gloves or maybe manufacturer can dull up the ends a bit. Only thought is that the nail ends are sharp and when installing insulation in duct you can get some hand scratches which I did.
